The official translation is a literal rendering of the type, attributes and the entire contents of translated document. The first page of the translation is always printed on the authorized translation agency headpaper; every page is signed by a certified translator and bears the agency seal.
What does legalization and certification of documents mean?
In the country, legalization and certification of documents and other papers is the responsibility of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and abroad – of diplomatic and consular services of the Republic of Bulgaria.
What is “Apostille”?
The “Apostille” is a unified method for certification of certain category of documents (public acts) to be used abroad – it is placed on the document itself or attached to it as a special certificate (apostille).
The “apostille” certification represents legalization of the document by the competent authority of the issuing country. Documents bearing original “apostille” need no further certification or legalization.
The competent authorities empowered to “apostille” Bulgarian public acts are the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
